Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk undercard lit up by Briton’s wild first-round knockout in demolition job victory
Mark Chamberlain made quick work of Joshua Oluwaseun Wahab on the Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk undercard.
Wahab hadn’t even been knocked down in his 25-fight career (23-2) until he met the Brit on Saturday night.
But Chamberlain, nicknamed “Thunder,” landed a lightning-fast left hand to floor Wahab in the first round.
To his credit, Wahab got back to his feet but was quickly knocked back by a quick burst that left him sprawled unconscious against the bottom rope.
Chamberlain, said to be His Excellency Turki Alalshikh’s favorite fighter, improves to 16-0 as a professional with 12 knockouts.
The Portsmouth puncher landed the WBC “silver” trinket belt and a top-10 ranking with the main lightweight sanctioning body.

Speaking immediately afterwards, Chamberlain said: “It was a bit of a shock to me.
“It was the first left hand I hit (that knocked him down) and he was standing.
“I thought, ‘If he gets up, I better be a little careful,’ but the sophomore caught him and just brushed him aside.
“I would like to thank His Excellency, my manager Francis Warren and Queensbury Promotions for giving me this opportunity again.
“It really changes my life.”
Chamberlain’s next step is unknown, but he has now scored two successive victories in Riyadh and will likely continue his career on the Saudi stage.
