Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk rules: number of rounds, times, weight details and judges for Saudi Arabia showdown

Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk will face off this month to become the first undisputed heavyweight champion in 25 years.

The two have been on a collision course in recent years and saw their February clash postponed due to an injury suffered by Fury.

The Gypsy King suffered a “freak cut” during a training session which pushed back plans for their Saudi showdown until he was fully healed.

The two will now fight this month following warnings that a £7.9million penalty would be required if anyone pulled out again.

Fury against Usyk: Combat rules

This undisputed heavyweight title clash will take place on Saturday, May 18 at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

It is scheduled for 12 rounds of three minutes and will be scored by three judges using the 10-point system.

A typical boxing round is scored 10-9, with the fighter considered to have won the round with a score of 10 and the loser with a score of 9.

A 10-8 round is usually scored when a reversal or completely one-sided affair takes place.

The fighters’ totals are tallied and the winner is the one with the best overall score from the three judges.
