Fury was supposed to face Usyk in February, but the fight was postponed due to a nasty cut to the ‘Gypsy King’s eye.

After some concerns, a new date has been found for the huge clash, and that means both fighters are set to receive an incredible amount of money…

Fury vs Usyk: purse and prize money

The purse and prize money for this historic clash have not yet been officially announced.

However, it has been suggested that Fury will earn over $100 million.

Promoter Bob Arum discussed pay for the fight and revealed that if the “Gypsy King” was offered just $100 million, he wouldn’t be happy.

Speaking in October last year, Arum said: “If you told Tyson Fury he’s about to make $100 million, he really wouldn’t care.

“Because he thinks – and I think he’s right – that he’s going to make a lot more than that.”

The event will be one of the biggest in boxing history and Fury and Usyk are expected to earn an incredible amount of money.

However, if the fight has to be delayed a second time due to one of them withdrawing, they will end up having to lose some of their own money.

Turki Alalshikh (president of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia, which is organizing the fight) revealed that a potential fine would be imposed on each fighter if this happens again.

If Fury or Usyk withdraw, they will have to pay their opponent £8 million.

He joined journalist Ariel Helwani on MMA Hour and said: “There will be $10m (£8m) (to be paid) if anyone walks out of the fight (with their own money). »

Alalshikh also said that if a fighter withdrew, he would be replaced.

He continued: “I also guarantee another big fight the same night. I will let fans around the world know if anyone is scared of this fight.

“If Usyk is scared, I’ll call Joshua. Tyson, if Tyson is scared, I’ll call another fighter that Usyk wants.”
