Two United Airlines planes clip wings at San Francisco airport

Two United Airlines planes clipped their wings while parking at San Francisco International Airport Thursday evening, an airline spokesperson confirmed.

None of the 105 passengers or five crew members on the plane, United Airlines Flight 2181, an Airbus A319, were injured. The flight arrived from Reno and then headed from San Francisco to Fort Lauderdale, according to flight records. The other plane was parked.

The passengers of UA 2181 disembarked normally, the spokesperson said.

This is the latest in a series of incidents involving United Airlines. On March 29, a United flight to San Francisco from Frankfurt, Germany, had to turn around after a toilet began overflowing in the cabin.
