Two teenagers, 13 and 16, shot dead while sitting inside a car in Morgan Park – NBC Chicago

Two teenagers were shot and killed Saturday night as they sat inside a vehicle parked on a street in Chicago’s Morgan Park neighborhood, authorities said.

The shooting was reported around 5.50pm in the 11300 block of South May Street. The victims, aged 13 and 16, were inside the vehicle when an unidentified man approached, drew a gun and shot the two victims, police said.

The 16-year-old was shot in the right arm and the 13-year-old was shot in the left hand. Both victims were taken to hospital and are in acceptable condition.

The shooting is being investigated by area two detectives.
