Two people were shot and wounded in Oakland at the corner of 23rd Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Way, police said.

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) — The Oakland Police Department is investigating a double shooting that occurred Saturday at the corner of 23rd Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Way.

Around 4:30 p.m., Oakland police and firefighters were called to reports of multiple shots fired.

Two people were found injured, but their condition is still unknown.

Police have sealed off the area to traffic.
