Two were charged as part of drug trafficking, the San Francisco district prosecutor Brooke Jenkins announced on Friday.
Jose Espinoza-Santos, 57, and Aaryn Stacy, 31, are accused of multiple crimes after pretending to have more than half a pound of fentanyl and other drugs, prosecutors said.
According to court documents, on March 25, the police of San Francisco observed that Espinoza-Santos would have exchanged alleged drugs for narcotics and to give the product to Stacy.
Espinoza-Santos would then have withdrawn a bag of alleged drugs and distributed parts of the content to a group of people who gathered around him, officials said.
Later, police would have recovered 66.5 grams of fentanyl, heroin, cocaine base and $ 2,000 in espinoza-santos. Stacy was found with 190.5 grams of fentanyl, heroin, cocaine base, methamphetamine, a scale and $ 762, said the DA office.
The District Prosecutor’s Office seeks to hold them the trial because of the risk of public security.
The investigation is underway. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the San Francisco Police Service Councils at 1-415-575-4444 or Text TIP411 with SFPD.
