MULTIPLE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN SHOT IN WESTWOOD OVERNIGHT AND RICHARD CHARLES FROM WLWT NEWS FIVE JOINING US LIVE WITH WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR THIS MORNING. RICHARD, WHAT CAN YOU TELL US? YOU KNOW, MEGAN. GOOD MORNING. THE GUN VIOLENCE IN THE CITY OF CINCINNATI IS CONTINUING THIS TIME AND WILL SETTLE IN WESTWOOD NOW, SHOOTINGS HAVE SETTLED AROUND 145 THIS MORNING. THIS IS HAPPENING IN THE 3000 BLOCK OF BRACKEN WOODS LANE NEAR HARRISON. THIS IS WHERE DISTRICT THREE OFFICERS RESPONDED TO THE SCENE. AT THIS TIME, NOT A LOT OF INFORMATION IS BEING RELEASED BY POLICE AS THEY CONTINUE WITH THIS INVESTIGATION. WE KNOW THAT SEVERAL PEOPLE WERE SHOT, INCLUDING SOME WHO WERE TRANSPORTED TO AREA HOSPITALS BY DISTRICT THREE POLICE. ON ARRIVAL AGAIN, THEY DISCOVERED SEVERAL PEOPLE SHOT. THIS IS THE 3000 BLOCK OF BRACKEN WOODS LANE. THIS IS NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF HARRISON AVENUE, NOW A SECOND SCENE APPEARS AS POLICE CONTINUE THIS INVESTIGATION. THIS ONE IS A CAR ACCIDENT A FEW BLOCKS AWAY. THIS IS A CAR ACCIDENT BETWEEN HARRISON AVENUE AND ROBERTS AVENUE. NOW POLICE ARE TELLING US THAT THEY WERE WORKING BOTH OF THESE SCENES IN COMBINATION, WITHOUT CONFIRMING HOW THEY ARE RELATED. BUT ONCE AGAIN, POLICE INVESTIGATING BOTH SCENES WERE CALLED TO THESE SCENES JUST MOMENTS APART. THE SHOOTING SCENE IS OCCURRING. 145 THIS MORNING. THIS CAR CRASH SCENE AGAIN. POLICE RESPOND MOMENTS LATER. NOW AS DISTRICT THREE POLICE CONTINUE THEIR INVESTIGATION, NO SUSPECT INFORMATION HAS BEEN RELEASED. Two people were shot and injured in Westwood last night, according to police. Gunshots rang out around 1:45 a.m. Sunday morning in the 3000 block of Bracken Woods Lane. Two people were taken privately to Good Samaritan Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Cincinnati police. The victims were identified only as a 23-year-old black man and a 20-year-old black woman. Officers are also working at the scene of an accident near the scene of the shooting on Harris Ave. and Roberts Ave. Police say they are investigating the scenes in conjunction with each other but have not said how they believe they are related. No information on the suspects was given by police. Anyone with information about either scene is asked to call Cincinnati Crime Stoppers at (513) 352-3040. Two people were shot in Westwood overnight, police said.

Gunshots rang out around 1:45 a.m. Sunday morning in the 3000 block of Bracken Woods Lane.

Two people were privately transported to Good Samaritan Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Cincinnati police. The victims were identified only as a 23-year-old black man and a 20-year-old black woman.

Officers are also working an accident scene not far from the shooting scene on the corner of Harris Ave. and Roberts Ave. Police say they are investigating the scenes in conjunction with the others, but have not said how they believe they are linked.

No suspicious information has been given by the police. Anyone with information about either scene is asked to call Cincinnati Crime Stoppers at (513) 352-3040.
