Two California teenagers arrested after posing as ICE agents and robbing Hispanic victims

Authorities say two California teenagers allegedly posed as Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and robbed Hispanic victims in a brazen crime spree.

Laurentiu Baceanu and Vasile Alexandru, both 19, were arrested last Thursday hours after allegedly committing several thefts between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m., according to Anaheim police.

The two young men approached the Hispanic victims, claiming they were from ICE, before demanding their money, police said.

Baceanu and Alexandru then fled in a blue Audi Q7 SUV which was later spotted by police in Fullerton, leading to their arrest.

Anaheim authorities believe the two men committed similar robberies in which they presented badges to other Hispanic victims, spoke to them in Spanish and left with their belongings.
