TV icon Susan Lucci was approached to be the ‘golden bachelorette’

Daytime icon Susan Lucci said People magazine according to which she was approached to be The Golden Bachelorette but refused. Lucci was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series 19 times at the Daytime Emmy Awards before finally winning in 1999 for her role as Erica Kane.
