The European Championship finally kicks off in Rome on Friday as Italy faces Turkey in the opener.

One year after its original date, Euro 2020 will kick off as the tournament celebrates its 60th anniversary.

Roberto Mancini’s Italy host Turkey in Euro 2020 opener

The Group A opener sees Roberto Mancini’s exciting Italian side face off against Turkey’s potential black horses in an intriguing match.

Italy finished second at Euro 2012 but failed to qualify for the World Cup in 2018 and hope to impress this summer.

Meanwhile, Turkey have a talented squad for this summer’s flagship tournament and will be looking to create a surprise on opening day.
