Tuberculosis case reported at North Carolina high school

A positive case of tuberculosis (TB) has been identified at a school in Randolph County.

Randolph County Public Health System leaders said the case was identified at Eastern Randolph High School, adding that a person with tuberculosis has not been present since late April.

Health officials said students and staff have been informed of the case. Health officials said they are working closely with the Randolph County school system and North Carolina state TB consultants/experts to identify people who may have been exposed to the positive case .
