Living in Italy, I made countless rides by train across the country, and I firmly believe that it is the best way to travel comfortably from region to region.
By looking for a Rome train ticket in Florence in January, I noticed that I could pay an additional 10 euros ($ 11 USD) to book an improved seat with Italian, a high -speed Italian train company.
So, rather than booking a standard smart class ticket, I reserved a prima-company class seat for a total of 40 euros (45 USD). I was delighted to enjoy the advantages such as a leg space and complementary snacks.
This is what my experience looked like.
The boarding process was fast and easy
The train arrived in time and my digital ticket provided clear instructions to find my coach and my assigned seat.
One of the advantages of the Prima-Entreprise class ticket was that I was able to get on board in front of the passenger of smart class tickets. It was good to have more time to get me and my property located.
My seat was extremely comfortable

I appreciated having an additional leg space and a large seat. The chair was comfortable, and I liked it to light up and had spacious armrests.
I also had a large tray for drinks and personal items and access to a small coat hook.
During the ride, I had snacks and a box lunch
I really enjoyed my focaccia with olives. Maria Salvati
About 30 minutes after the start of the trip, Italian staff members came by my headquarters with a carriage of snack options, which were included in the price of my prima-instance class ticket.
The menu (which was available via a link with my digital ticket) included a wide variety of options, including pastries, small gastronomic sandwiches and taralli (wheat crackers). Drinks, such as water, wine and Coca-Cola, were also available.
I appreciated a focaccia with olives, a croissant filled with pistachio cream, taralli and a glass of white wine.
Then, halfway through the trip, I was given a lunch box with a cheese and mortadelle sandwich, two packets of chocolate cookies and a bottle of water.
I did not expect to have so many options and I felt very satisfied and full.
Overall, the upgrade of $ 11 has made my 2 -hour journey a dream
My trip to Florence was so relaxing. Maria Salvati
In less than two hours, the train arrived at Florence station.
Spending the additional 10 euros (USD 11) definitely made this trip were worth it, thanks to the wider seats, the additional leg space and the food service to which I would not have had access to otherwise.
I would certainly pay additional money to access these upgrades again.
