President Donald Trump’s second inauguration provided plenty of comedic fodder for “The Late Show” host Stephen Colbert on Monday.
Colbert mockingly picked out several moments from the outgoing president’s speech, including Trump’s failure to get his hands on a stack of Bibles upon his return to office.
“Now when the ceremony was outside, he was going to get his hands on the Bible, but when they moved it inside, the fire marshal wouldn’t allow it,” Colbert joked.
“Here’s the problem,” he continued. “If he doesn’t touch the Bible, is he really president?
“I mean, who touched the Bible? » asked Colbert. “Um… Melania. Is she president now? Could the hat be president? He clearly believes in a strong border.”
