United States President-elect Donald Trump will issue an executive order to end birthright citizenship for children born in the United States whose parents do not have legal immigration status, a a new White House official said Monday.
Citing the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, the official said at a news conference: “The federal government will not automatically recognize birthright citizenship for children of illegal aliens born in the United States. We We will also improve the monitoring and control of illegal aliens.”
