President Donald Trump threatens Iran with bombing to conclude a new nuclear agreement.
The threat occurs when the United States seems to hide B-2 stealth bombers in a strategic basis of the Indian Ocean which was used to stage strikes in the Middle East.
“If they do not conclude, there will be bombings,” Trump told Kristen Welker from NBC News during the weekend, adding that “he will bomb people as they have never seen before”.
Earlier this month, Trump gave Tehran a two-month deadline to accept a new nuclear agreement or face military action. On Sunday, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian rejected direct talks with the United States, although he left the door open to indirect negotiations.
Trump withdrew from a historic nuclear agreement of 2015 with Iran during his first mandate.
The president’s threat comes as the United States has deployed B-2 spiritual bombers to Diego Garcia, a small British Indian Ocean island that has served as a joint military base in the United Kingdom for decades, in an unusual decision. Open source intelligence analysts have started to follow the arrival of several aircraft in recent days.
A spokesperson for the Air Force Global Strike Command confirmed that there were B-2s in Diego Garcia, although they do not say how much. Recent satellite imagery said that from last Tuesday there were at least three, but perhaps more.

“Their mission is to dissuade, to detect and, if necessary, to defeat strategic attacks against the United States and its allies,” the spokesman for Business Insider on Monday without further developing.
Bombers could be there in relation to developments in the missions of the Middle East or Bomber. Anyway, it’s a lot of firepower easily available.
The B-2 Spirit is a long-range strategic bomber made by Northrop Grumman. The Air Force has only 19 of these stealth aircraft in active service. Built to penetrate strikes against targets that are difficult to access, the bombers are based at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri.
The B-2 of around $ 2 billion is capable of providing nuclear and conventional strikes and is able to transport up to 40,000 pounds of ammunition, including the massive GBU-57 penetrator. Vadrouille is a 30,000 pound bunker buster.
It has been assumed that an attack on Iranian nuclear installations, which are largely underground in hardened bunkers, would require capacities that B-2 can provide.
The specific goal of B-2 on Diego Garcia is not clear, but they have the potential to serve as a show of strength for Iran and its attorney. Last fall, the United States sent a clear message to Tehran by sending B-2 bombers to hit Houthi hardened installations. The Iranian support for Houthis has fueled the Red Sea crisis, which has been held again lately.

The Trump administration has struck the rebels supported by Iran with air strikes in the past two weeks in order to stop their attacks on military and civilian ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
However, the Houthis have also recently demonstrated that on Sunday that they can still dismiss long -range missiles in Israel, which they continue to protest against the Gaza War.
The deployment of B-2S occurs significantly in the midst of greater American military accumulation in the Middle East. There have been growing tensions and threats between Trump’s White House and Iran and Houthi supported by Tehran.
On Saturday, the 124th Fighter Wing of the Idaho Air National Guard announced the deployment of more than 300 aviators and several A-10 Thunderbolt II attack planes to the Middle East operations area. Unity has already been deployed in support of the war led by the United States against the Islamic State.
The navy also sends a second aircraft carrier to the region. USS Carl Vinson will join USS Harry S. Truman and his strike group, which has been hitting the Houthis for weeks. Upon arrival, the Vinson would be the fifth American carrier to participate in combat operations against the rebels.
