Donald Trump Has hit Senator Thom Tillis on the refusal of the Northern Carolina Republican to support her “big and beautiful bill”, even though the president’s domestic legislative action narrowly adopted a procedural vote in the Senate on Saturday evening.

In an article on Truth Social, Trump threatened Tillis, who was re -elected in 2026 in the state of the battlefield, saying that he would meet potential candidates to challenge him in a republican primary.

“Many people have presented themselves to want to run” against Tillis, Trump wrote Saturday night. “I will meet them in the coming weeks, looking for someone who will correctly represent the great people of North Carolina and, so important, the United States of America.”

Tillis was one of the two in the Senate RepublicansWith Rand Paul of Kentucky, to vote against the bill defended by the leader of their party.

Trump accused Tillis of magnitude “in order to obtain a certain advertisement for himself, for a possible re-election, but very difficult”. He also wrote that Tillis made a “big mistake for America and the wonderful people of North Carolina!”

The threat came a few hours later Tillis said in a press release that he “cannot support” the current form of the president’s expenditure bill. He underlined the cups expected in Medicaid which, according to him, “would lead to tens of billions of dollars in funding lost for North Carolina, including our hospitals and our rural communities”.

Tillis earlier told journalists he had given Trump before-garde in his opposition to legislation.

“I believe that the president really focuses on the realization of the tax portion of the bill, and I support this, a complete judgment,” he said. “But that has gone from a tax bill to the one who includes health care and other things. And I said that in non -tax areas, we have a problem.”

But Tillis made a sign of the concept of being concerned about the fact that Trump supports a main challenger.

Trump defended the main challenges against the Republicans who clashed with him. He notably approved the successful success of Harriet Hageman to dislodge the former Republican deputy from Wyoming, Liz Cheney, who sat on a committee of the Congress of the Chamber which investigated the deadly attack of the Capitol of the United States of the supporters of Trump after having lost the 2020 presidential election.

The Trump team also recently launched a group to overthrow the Kentucky Congress Member, Thomas Massie, who opposed the strikes of June 22, on Iranian nuclear sites. Massie also trained an alliance with the member of the California Democrat Congress, Ro Khanna, to introduce a resolution of the war powers intended to “prohibit the involvement in Iran” as well as with the “great and beautiful bill” of Trump.

Chris Lacivita, Trump’s political advisor, confirmed that he and Tony Fabrizio, another Trump advisor, would lead a Super Political Anti-Massie Action Committee (CAP).

Trump’s criticism of Tillis came while the Senate voted 51 to 49 in favor of the adoption of a motion aimed at advancing the budget bill. He must now erase an official senate vote and be returned to the House of Basses for approval – which Trump wants to do before the July 4 holidays.

Legislation is a basket full of republican priorities – making tax alternatives from the first permanent presidency of Trump, no taxes on advice, drug cuts, food coupons and green energy investments, and a commitment for an additional $ 350 billion to spend in national security.
