A spokesperson for Donald Trump tried to attack the president Joe Biden like someone who “can barely speak,” but then has difficulty getting a few words out.
“The transcript of the Hur report was incredibly damning for Joe Biden,” Karoline Leavitt, the Trump campaign’s national press secretary, said Tuesday on Newsmax.
She repeated the non-word a few moments later.
“It was also extremely damning for him politically, because it showed what the American people see with their own eyes every day, which is that Joe Biden can barely speak,” she said.
Leavitt also referred to Attorney General Merrick Garland as “Merricka Garland.”
Leavitt, who ran for Congress and lost in 2022, was referring to special counsel Robert Hur’s highly controversial report in the classified documents affair in which he attacked Biden as “a friendly, well-meaning, elderly man with a bad memory.
Former Justice Department officials criticized Hur for what seemed more like a personal attack on the president than a report explaining the case.
On Tuesday, critics mocked Leavitt for stumbling over words herself, saying Biden “could barely speak.”
