Trump says he’d ‘love’ to see family of Ruby Garcia, 25-year-old allegedly killed by illegal migrant, at Michigan rally

Former President Donald Trump said Monday he would “love” to see the family of Ruby Garcia – the 25-year-old woman allegedly killed by her illegal immigrant boyfriend in Michigan – at his Tuesday rally in the Mitten State.

“I would love to have his family there if they want to be there,” Trump said in an interview with Detroit radio host Justin Barclay.

Garcia, of Grand Rapids, was found dead along a highway with multiple gunshot wounds to the head on March 22. Brandon Ortiz-Vite, 25, later confessed to shooting Garcia in his car, turning himself in to police with blood on his clothes, according to local reports.

Ortiz-Vite said he shot Garcia after they argued, then took her body out of the car and drove away, according to local reports citing court documents.

Trump has considered immigration one of the most important issues in his 2024 campaign. Stephen Yang for the NY Post

Trump’s campaign has ramped up its messaging for 2024 to focus on immigration in battleground states. The 45th president will visit Michigan and Wisconsin, two states the 77-year-old narrowly won in 2016 and narrowly lost in 2020, in a bid to sway voters on his border policies.

“Under crooked President Joe Biden, ALL states are now border states. EVERY city is now a border town – because Joe Biden brought carnage, chaos and killing from around the world and dumped it right into our own backyards,” Trump spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said. at the Post. “President Trump will restore safety and security and once again put Americans first in Michigan, Wisconsin and every state across the country. »

Last month, Trump met with the family of Laken Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student from Georgia who police say was murdered by an illegal migrant from Venezuela.
