Trump refuses to exclude recession while prices are starting to bite

President Trump refused in an interview broadcast on Sunday to exclude the possibility that his economic policies, including aggressive prices against American trade partners, would lead to a recession.

In the interview with Maria Bartiromo, the host of “Sunday Morning Futures” on Fox News, Trump also said that he was planning to increase prices against Mexico and Canada. The interview took place Thursday at the White House.

The taxation by Trump of radical prices in Canada, Mexico and China has shook the stock markets last week and invited industries, including the largest car manufacturers, who told the president that tasks would decimate their business.
