Trump panics in front of New York trial judge as jury deliberations approach

A few days before closing arguments in his secret trial in New York, former President Donald Trump lashed out at the judge: Juan Merchanin an all-caps-laden social media post.

“The reason radical and highly confrontational Judge Juan Merchan had to give the jury three FALSE options to choose from, without requiring them to be unanimous, which is completely un-American and unconstitutional, is because the prosecutor corrupt supported by Soros, Alvin. Bragg could not prove a crime was committed,” Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social.

“THERE WAS NO CRIME,” he continued, roundaboutly arguing that he legally paid a nondisclosure agreement to former porn star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election – what prosecutors said was an illegal attempt to boost his chances of defeating Hillary Clinton.

“There is NO CASE, just a Democratic persecutor controlled by the crooked Joe Biden White House, a Democratic judge and a biased venue,” he added.

Trump also denounced the ongoing week-long recess, saying Merchan should have sequestered the jury.

Separately, in an unusual attempt to commemorate the Memorial Day holiday, Trump wrote: “Happy Memorial Day to everyone, including the human scum who are working so hard to destroy our once great country, and to the radical left, Trump hating the federal judge in New York who presided over, get this, TWO separate trials, which awarded to a woman I had never met before (a quick handshake at a celebrity event, ago 25 years, doesn’t count!), 91 MILLION DOLLARS for “’DEFAMATION’.”

The jury could begin deliberating as early as the middle of this week. Trump faces 34 criminal charges for falsifying business records. If convicted, he could face prison time – an unprecedented scenario for a former president and leading candidate ahead of the November election.
