Trump maintains that the courts cannot block the DOGE team from Elon Musk de Treasury Systems

Lawyers of the Trump administration argued late Sunday Sunday, an order of the court preventing Elon Musk’s aid from entering the Treasury Department’s payment and data systems, the President’s absolute powers on executive power , what they argued that the courts could not usurp.

The administration’s file came in response to a legal action filed Friday evening by 19 attorneys general, led by Letitia James de New York, who won a temporary break on Saturday. The trial indicated that the Trump administration policy to authorize people appointed and “special government employees” to these systems, which contain sensitive information such as the details of the bank and the social security numbers, were illegal.

Members of the so-called Department of Effectiveness of Mr. Musk’s government, which are not really a department, have crossed the databases to find expenses to be reduced. The trial indicates that the initiative calls into question the separation of powers by the Constitution, under which the Congress determines public spending.

An American district judge in Manhattan, Paul A. Engelmayer, ordered all civil servants who had access to the systems since January 20 on Saturday to “destroy all the copies of equipment downloaded from the files and systems of the Treasury Department”.

Judge Engelmayer said in an emergency prescription that official access had increased the risk of leaks and systems becoming more vulnerable than before hacking. He set an audience in the case for Friday.

Federal lawyers defending Mr. Trump – as well as the secretary of the Treasury, Scott Bessent, and the Treasury Department – called the “clearly too extinguished” order and declared that the court should reject the injunction, or at least modify His order.

They argued that the order had violated the Constitution by ignoring the separation of powers and by breaking the right of the executive power to appoint its own employees. The restriction, she wrote, “establishes an inadmissible and anti-constitutional distinction” between civil servants and people appointed politicians working in the Treasury department.

The deposit followed warning plans during the weekend. Vice-president JD Vance said that courts and judges are not authorized to “control the legitimate power of the executive”, although the American courts have long been involved in the practice of judicial control.

Trump described the Decision of the Engelmayer on on Saturday, “shame” and said that “no judge should frankly be authorized to make this kind of decision.”

This is a story in development and will be updated.
