Trump launches bizarre ‘word salad’ response during live evening TV interview

Donald Trump makes people wonder what he was trying to say during a rambling monologue on Fox News Tuesday night after Sean Hannity asked him for his reaction to police removing pro-Palestinian protesters from university of Columbia.

“It’s such a sad thing to see,” Trump said. “If you go back a year, three, four or five years, it wouldn’t even be possible to think about it. No one would think this could happen. Look at the anti-Semitism, the hatred of Israel from so many people.

“Ten years ago, I mean, Israel was protected by Congress,” he continued. “And now Congress is doing numbers that are incredible with, I think, a very small group of people in Congress and this has to stop. But we have to go back to the roots. We must protect, we must put an end to the anti-Semitism that is invading our country right now and Biden must do something.

Trump also claimed there were “paid agitators” among the protesters, said some were “brainwashed,” insisted Israel must “clean out the cancer” and blamed the president Joe Biden and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) for not supporting Israel.

The former president spent much of the day in court, where his criminal trial in the Stormy Daniels case continues – and where he reportedly dozed off again during the proceedings.

His rambling comments later in the evening left people on X perplexed:
