Trump criticizes his former press secretary Kayleigh McEnany

Former President Trump slammed his former publicist Kayleigh McEnany on Tuesday, accusing her of providing the “wrong” poll numbers during an appearance on Fox News.
“Kayleigh ‘Milktoast’ McEnany just gave the wrong poll numbers on FoxNews. I’m 34 points ahead of DeSanctimonious, not 25,” Trump said in a Truth Social article, using his nickname for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R).
“While 25 is fine, it’s not 34,” he added. “She knew that the number had been corrected upwards by the group that had done the poll. RINOS & Globalists can have it. FoxNews should only use REAL stars!!! »
McEnany, who is now co-host of Fox News’ “Outnumbered,” told host Jesse Waters on Tuesday night that polls in Iowa showed DeSantis “closing the gap” on the former president, after that the governor of Florida officially announced his bid for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination last week.
It was not immediately clear which poll Trump and McEnany were referring to. A recent Emerson College Polling survey showed the former president leading DeSantis by 42 points among Iowa voters.
DeSantis rallied supporters outside Des Moines on Tuesday as he kicked off a four-day campaign in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina. Trump is expected to arrive in Hawkeye State later this week.
