Donald Trump’s team angrily denied reports he fell asleep in court last week as his criminal trial in the Stormy Daniels case began, but a witness said Sunday he saw him himself.
“I was in the courtroom. I saw him fall asleep,” MSNBC analyst Jonathan Alter told the network’s Ayman Mohyeldin. “It’s not ‘seems to be.’ It actually happened.
Alter said he saw the former president fall asleep several times Monday, Thursday and Friday.
“That’s not a good look.” It’s hard for him to call Joe Biden ‘Sleepy Joe,’” he said. “That nickname goes out the window.”
He added that Trump was also whispering with his lawyers during the proceedings.
“It’s not very pretty,” he repeated.
