President Donald Trump has severely criticized the NFL franchises for not having written the quarter-rear of Colorado Sanders in the first round of Thursday draft, calling all the 32 “stupid” team owners.
Sanders, the son of the renowned temple of the NFL deion Sanders, was not taken among the first 32 choices. While many simulated projects had Sanders Sanders in the first round – often at the Pittsburgh Steelers at No. 21 – there was no large consensus, it would be a first -round choice.
“What’s wrong with the owners of the NFL, are they stupid?” Trump wrote in an article on Truth Social. “Deion Sanders was a great university football player, and was even larger in the NFL. He is also a very good coach, streetwise and intelligent!
Sanders, 23, was the offensive player of the year Big 12 for the Buffaloes last season. It is the prospect of NBC Sports Connor Rogers throughout the class.
Trump did not hesitate to express his opinions on the NFL in the past.
In September 2017, in the midst of the national anthem of the NFL players, Trump said during a gathering: “Wouldn’t you like to see one of these NFL owners, when someone is lacking in our flag, you would say:` `Get this son of a B —- off the field at the moment.
Several owners have publicly condemned Trump’s comments, qualifying them as division and inappropriate.
Earlier this year, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said the League would not withdraw its diversity, equity and inclusion practices after a Trump decree requested the elimination of these programs.
“We had diversity efforts because we estimated that it was the right thing for the National Football League, and we are going to continue these efforts because we have not only convinced ourselves, I think we have proven that this improves the NFL,” TOODELL told journalists in February. “We are not there because it is a tendency to enter it or a tendency to get out of it. Our efforts are fundamental to try to attract the best possible talents in the National Football League on and off the field. ”
