Trump called Kid Rock about strippers and inauguration rally

Kid Rock said President-elect Donald Trump personally called him to find out if the Secret Service had banned the rock singer from having strippers on stage at a Trump rally planned for Sunday in Washington DC.

The “Bawitdaba” hitmaker said Fox and friends On Sunday, Trump learned of a joke he had made and, unsure if it was serious, called to find out if federal law enforcement had actually banned pole dancers from his rally for the victory at Capital One Arena.

“Friday morning I got a call from the president and Melania (Trump’s wife) and it was pretty mind-blowing. I tried to leave him alone, he has a lot on his plate, I think, right now “,” Kid Rock told the Fox News morning talk show. “He called and he asked, ‘Did the Secret Service really tell you you couldn’t use strippers?’ »

Kid Rock, real name Robert Ritchie, said he let Trump know he wasn’t serious: “No, sir, I was just joking.” »

“Ah, that’s funny,” Trump responded, according to his recall.

He said Fox and friends that he will perform four songs at Sunday’s rally, including “something old, something new.”

Kid Rock also revealed that Trump consulted him, out of the blue, about whether to hold his inauguration ceremony indoors.

The singer was somewhat disturbed that the president-elect would ask the author of songs like “You Never Met A Motherf—er Quite Like Me” and “Redneck Paradise” for his opinion on such a historic event.

The Washington metro area is under forecast for extreme cold on Monday, ultimately leading Trump to move the ceremony indoors.

Kid Rock recalled Trump’s words over the phone: “Let me ask you a question: People could really have a bad experience, maybe some people could get hurt, our first responders – what do you think about the fact that I move the inauguration indoors? »

“I’m like… uhhhhh,” he said, pointing at himself and miming confusion.
