Trump ally Sen. Lindsey Graham rejects paying David Pecker to kill negative stories, admits there is NO ‘absolute immunity’ in the Constitution

Sen. Lindsey Graham predicted the Supreme Court would send Donald Trump’s presidential immunity case back to lower courts.

The South Carolina Republican said there is no “absolute immunity” provided in the Constitution, but he believes it would allow Trump to get “some immunity” for actions he has companies when he was president and for which he is now being prosecuted.

Additionally, Graham rejected former US Media CEO David Pecker’s testimony that Trump paid to kill bad stories about him before the 2016 election, saying famous people often used the tactic.

“David Pecker, who ran the National Enquirer’s parent company, said he paid to catch and kill stories about Trump specifically to help his presidential campaign. Doesn’t that worry you?” CNN’s Dana Bash told Graham in reference to his testimony at the secret Manhattan trial last week.

Sen. Lindsey Graham believes the Supreme Court will return presidential immunity to lower courts — and dismissed concerns about David Pecker’s funding of “catch and kill” stories about Trump before 2016.

“Apparently a lot of people do that, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Tiger Woods,” the senator listed, mentioning the actor, bodybuilder and former governor of California as well as the famous golf pro. respectively.

“I think this is all bullshit,” the Trump ally said of the lawsuit. “The statute of limitations has long excluded misdemeanor cases. This liberal Manhattan prosecutor therefore concluded that there was a violation of the federal campaign.

“I think it’s a political move against Trump six months before the election.” That’s what I think,” he added.

The case in Manhattan Criminal Court is related to Trump’s falsification of business records for payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels to keep silent before the 2016 election about her alleged extramarital affair with Trump a decade ago.

Trump appeared in court over the past two weeks in New York for jury selection and the start of testimony in the case, which included questioning Pecker.

Trump has been in court for the past two weeks for the secret criminal trial in Manhattan and was unable to attend the Supreme Court oral arguments for his presidential immunity case.

During his testimony last week, Pecker said he paid former Playboy model Karen McDougal for her story about an affair with Trump, then killed him because it would have hurt his chances of winning the election against Hillary Clinton.

Bash, hosting CNN’s State of the Union Sunday morning, asked Graham if he was concerned about that, which he dismissed.

“All right, obviously Tiger Woods is not running for president,” she retorted.

‘Yes. No, I got it. Yes, I think this is all BS. Yes, I think this is all BS, yes, political BS,” the senator said.
