Tropical Storm Frank weakens off the Pacific coast of Mexico

MEXICO CITY — Tropical Storm Frank continued to weaken well off the Pacific coast of Mexico on Monday after reaching hurricane strength over the weekend.

The US National Hurricane Center said Frank experienced maximum winds of 65 mph (100 km/h) and was moving northwest at 12 mph (19 km/h). It was located 810 miles (1,300 kilometers) west of the southern tip of Baja California and posed no threat to land.
