Deandre Hopkins Makes his family proud.
While the wide receiver of Kansas City chiefs arrived at the Super Bowl 2025 at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 9, he paid tribute to his father Harris Hopkins– who died in a car accident only five months after his birth – by carrying a long vision jacket which belonged to his father before his death.
Before dealing with the Eagles of Philadelphia, Deandre explained the importance of the comforting fashion declaration.
“My father died in 1992, and he left me a few things,” journalists said at 32 in a video published on X (formerly Twitter) on February 3. “One of the things he left me was a vision jacket, so I always said that I would wear this vision jacket at my wedding or at the Super Bowl, depending on what we happened in first. “
Obviously emotional, Deandre noted that “obviously I am not married, so I wear the mink jacket of my dad.”
