- Trent Alexander-Arnold scored the winning goal in Leicester on Sunday
- Conor Bradley had a difficult match before being replaced by the star of England
- Listen now: everything is launched! Should Marcus Rashford leave Man United to direct the attack by Aston Villa?
For Trent Alexander-Arnold and Liverpool, Sunday afternoon in Leicester was one for memory books.
No matter where he ends next season, his winning goal after getting out of the bench and the celebration that followed will undoubtedly be one of the most memorable moments for the player and the club.
Alexander-Arnold went so far as to admit that it was one of his older ones in a Liverpool shirt and although it was his first goal with his left foot, it was a timely reminder that if he wanted to leave, Liverpool will miss a footballer as unique.
In his absence in recent weeks due to an injury, the Arne Slot team has had a little taste of life without the 26-year-old and the last two weeks have given Conor Bradley the opportunity to show that they may not need to buy a replacement in summer if Alexander-Arnold leaves.
Liverpool is expected to take a step for a left back and has been strongly linked to the Bournemouth Milos Kerkez, but the departure of Alexander-Arnold will leave a large vacuum at the right back.
In Bradley, they have a competent deputy who has already shown that he can compete and excel at the highest level, but his defensive difficulties against the Stephy Mavididi of Leicester stressed Sunday the need for the 21-year-old to obtain even more minutes in his credit, if he wanted to be the replacement of Alexander-Arnold.

He was shy on his future after the match, but he should always join Real Madrid this summer

Conor Bradley has replaced Alexander-Arnold in recent weeks, but is not ready to change the Liverpool situation
On Sky Sports, Jamie Carragher called Bradley to start ahead of Alexander-Arnold for the rest of the season in order to give the northern Ireland international more experience and with the title of Premier League more or less sealed, this could be an option since he has not yet had a coherent race in the starting breeding.
At halftime, a statistic made the tricks on social networks saying that no Liverpool player has won more duels (5) or ended any more sockets (2) than Bradley.
It may be true, but it was clear to see the naked eye that Mavididi was having fun on the left flank of Leicester and won on the back of Liverpool several times.
Attacking, Bradley showed promise and his movement off the ball was exceptional, constantly offering Liverpool an option in the last third and stretching the bottom line of Leicester while he bound himself with Mohamed Salah, but overall, it was a performance that suggested that he had the whole promise, but he still needs time to make this place.
When Mavididi did it with a nice film in the second half, Bradley was reserved for stumbled it and six minutes later, he gave way to Alexander-Arnold.
Playing right back to Liverpool after Alexander-Arnold is hardly an ideal task for any player to fulfill, given his magnificent qualities that change the situation and his strike from the left foot to win the game only after their arrival as an aspect of his game. This desire to take these risks and play these passes or go by goal to make him such a generational talent, with this 23rd goal of his career.
Ten minutes earlier, Bradley brilliantly did what quickly became one of his own trademarks that flows the field before playing a two with Salah, but when he should have tried to beat Mads Hermansen and had a strike, he tried to choose Kostas Tsimikas at Far Post instead. This decision -making will come with experience.
It was also revealing that once Alexander-Arnold arrived, Liverpool’s play was around him, but it would be hard to put such a burden on Bradley already. He has all the tools to become an excellent footballer and have a good career, but right now, the need for more time on the field is clear.
There will be more difficult tests than Leicester to come and perhaps in the coming weeks, Slot will have more idea of the man who should be his first great background next season.
