Treated like a criminal, a terrorist, under surveillance 24/7… How AAP sees the time spent in prison by Keriwal – Firstpost

It has been a fortnight since Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was lodged in Tihar jail. Several Aam Aadmi Party leaders alleged that the leader was forced to live in the grim realities of the jail and was “treated like a terrorist”.

AAP MP Sanjay Singh delivered Kejriwal’s message from jail on Tuesday, in which the chief minister said, “I am Arvind Kejriwal and I am not a terrorist.” »

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann’s first meeting with his colleague since his incarceration in Tihar jail would not have been pleasant.

Time and again, AAP leaders have highlighted Kejriwal’s plight in jail.

Singh, in a press conference, said, “Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, who has Z+ category security, is forced to meet the thrice-elected Chief Minister of Delhi with a wall of glass in between.

Similarly, Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal cannot meet her husband without a wall of glass separating them.

Singh, who was recently released on bail, alleged that Kejriwal was kept under 24-hour CCTV surveillance and by doing so, the ruling BJP was “harassing” him throughout the day.

Mann met Kejriwal in Tihar jail for 30 minutes in a room divided by a glass wall. “I got emotional seeing him. He is treated like a real criminal. What is his fault… if he built mohalla clinics? » asked the Punjab chief minister following his meeting.

Earlier, AAP had claimed that Kejriwal had lost 4.5 kg since his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate, a claim which was later denied by jail authorities.
