The Kelce brothers have a habit of being, shall we say, uninhibited on their podcast “New Heights,” revealing just enough for Internet detectives (looking at you, Swifties) to decipher the next steps in Kelce’s romance and Taylor Swift. Concrete example? Their January 8 episode, in which Travis might have revealed a little more about what his and Swift’s plans look like after the Eras tour.
During the episode, Travis Kelce answered a caller’s question about the best time of year to get married. “I actually don’t know anyone who got married in the fall, because every wedding I’ve been to and all my friends always do it in the summer,” the Kansas City Chiefs star admitted.
This offhand comment, combined with his aversion to weddings in the middle of football season, is fueling speculation among fans about the couple’s potential timetable for tying the knot. Kelce added, “I’ve seen weddings in February. I’ve seen weddings everywhere except in the fall,” excluding certain months with his characteristic frankness.
The timing would make sense. The three-time Super Bowl winner’s schedule is dominated by football-related commitments from late summer through winter, leaving the offseason as the most convenient time to accomplish what we believe is one of the most great celebrity weddings of the century. Add to that the fact that Swift reportedly had some time off after finishing her lengthy Eras tour, becauseOK Magazine revealed via a source who shared, “After 21 months on the road and a year and a half with Travis, Taylor is ready for this next chapter that begins with the love of her life.”
With Swift and Kelce, the enthusiasm only grows. “They have a lot to look forward to, and they couldn’t be more excited about it,” the source added, hinting at the couple’s undoubtedly thoughtful approach to this next big step.
While nothing concrete has been announced, Kelce’s thoughts on summer weddings seem to line up perfectly with the couple’s future plans — and considering his brother Jason didn’t bother to correct anyone on podcast last September when they referred to Swift as their “future sister-in-law,” “There’s a chance the two are already one of those Hollywood couples who are embarking on a low-key or secret engagement.”
