Travis Kelce defended by his brother Jason after Taylor Swift’s boyfriend was accused of ‘acting like an a**hole’ for drinking a beer while graduating at the end of New Heights Live on Thursday evening

Jason Kelce defended his younger brother Travis from harsh criticism after drinking a beer while graduating from the University of Cincinnati at the end of New Heights Live Thursday night.

Taylor Swift’s boyfriend was slammed on social media for his antics and Jason responded to them Saturday afternoon on X.

A fan tweeted it saying, “Please ask your brother about graduation antics?

“Doing what you did in a playoff game in Buffalo is one thing, but doing that in college where he got kicked off the team for acting like a prob jerk wasn’t the best idea .”

Jason replied: “I know it looks like a graduation in the video, but it was actually at the end of a New Heights Live podcast that we did to raise money for the university’s NIL . ‘

The Kelce received their university diplomas after their live performance in New Heights

Fans took to social media to criticize Travis for his antics and lack of role model.

“The university did this to make fun of my brother and me, who never actually graduated. »

Both Kelces graduated but did not walk across the stage and receive their diplomas after entering the NFL. While Jason explained that the ceremony was just a prank set up with the university, X users were still unhappy with Travis’ display on stage.

“Watch 34 year old Travis Kelce act like a 16 year old who just had his first beer,” one user wrote. “Seriously, is there a bigger D-Bag in all of professional sports than this.”

“Travis Kelce is NOT a role model for your sons,” another added. “It’s a loser’s mentality!” Kids, you can be better than that.

Both Kelces graduated but never earned their degrees after joining the NFL.

Jason was drafted by the Eagles in 2011 and Travis was selected by the Chiefs two years later.

The Kelces presented their hit podcast in front of a live audience at their alma mater after Travis won his third Super Bowl title, and Jason called it a career after 13 seasons.

Cincinnati Bengals stars Joe Burrow and Orlando Brown Jr. appeared as special guests on the live broadcast.
