Jaguars’ first practices in the first round of Travis Hunter focused on the offensive, but that will change in the near future.
Hunter worked with wide receivers during the recruit of this weekend and coach Liam Coen told journalists on Saturday that his heartback training will seriously start next week. Coen said Hunter was able to plunge and learn some of our blankets in three depths “and that the team thought it was better to limit it on one side of the ball in its initial training work.
“We are just a bit ended up making a decision That, from yesterday to today, we wanted to be able to clean some of the things we were able to miss yesterday. Get additional rehearsals on the offensive side of the ball and next week, he will start riding in defense, “said Coen.
Coen described Hunter as a “smart football guy” and that “now it is simply a question of putting in this time, this additional time that he will have to do to succeed, even play a side of the ball at this level. For his role, Hunter said that nothing about the double tracks was too trying at this stage.
“You just have to get used to it,” said Hunter. “These are only many different types of calls, but other than that, the defense is quite easy. You just have to get used to the offensive.”
The jaguars have made a big swing to get Hunter with the second overall choice and ensure that they maximize their return will be a major objective of the rest of their offseason.
