Microsoft has launched performance -based job cuts, depending on the termination letters targeted by Business Insider.
Employees losing their jobs will immediately see health care services end immediately, depending on the letters. In three specific cases, Microsoft told employees that they do not receive a rescue, according to people familiar with the situation. These people asked not to be identified to discuss sensitive subjects.
“The reason (s) for the termination of your job include your performance at work has not complied with minimum performance standards and expectations for your position”, letters viewed by Bi State. “You are relieved of all the tasks in force immediately and your access to Microsoft’s systems, accounts and buildings will be deleted with victory today. You must not do additional work on behalf of Microsoft.”
The letters do not mention the starting indemnity, but note that medical, prescription and dental services end on the last day of employment. The letters also indicate that Microsoft will examine past performance and termination if the person applies to other jobs in the company in the future.
As Bi reported it earlier this month, Microsoft adopts a stronger position on performance management as its competitors and business managers have spent the last months to assess employees to level 80, the ‘One of its highest levels. A company spokesperson refused to comment on Thursday.
A Microsoft spokesperson had previously confirmed the job cuts, declaring that when people leave for performance reasons, Microsoft often reimburses roles, so there may be little change in the company’s overall workforce. At the end of June, Microsoft had around 228,000 full -time employees.
