A brand new version of Toyota’s best -selling crossover Rav4 made its debut last night. For generation six, Toyota North America becomes quite electrified, with hybrid and rechargeable hybrid powered powered groups. And although the RAV4 is not entirely a vehicle defined by the software because we understand the term, it has a brand new software platform linking everything together.
Toyota has gathered the different RAV4 configurations in three groups: the heart, robust and sport. And there are three different powered motorcycle group options: front -wheel drive hybrid, full -tulled traction hybrid and full -traction phev, although certain versions are only available in certain configurations.
The front -tank hybrid rav4s include a 226 hp (168 kW) engine, with hybrid all -wheel drive models offering a slight increase to 236 hp (176 kW). The PHEV generates 320 hp (239 kW) combined, and Toyota says that it can travel 50 miles (80 km) on a single load.
Better efficiency is partly thanks to the adoption of more effective silicon carbide inverters, although the battery has also increased capacity. Certain versions (Woodland, XSE) even offer the possibility of PHEV fast loading DC, which, according to Toyota, takes 30 minutes to go from 10 to 80%.
