- 2026 marks the last year model for the 382 HP Toyota Gr supra after a six -year race.

- There could be a shorter “significantly” gap between fifth and sixth generation cars.
The past few years have not been nice to sports cars lately, with some of the most recognizable names that have bowed or suffered dramatic transformations. THE Chevrolet Camaro left. The Dodge Charge is now electric. And if that was not enough, the Nissan GT-R and Toyota Supra seem to go towards the same uncertain horizon.
However, it seems that nothing is really dead these days and Toyota Officials are already looking forward to the next supra. Although the details are rare, Toyota Motor Motor North America Vice-President of Planning and Product Strategy, Cooper Ericksen, recently talked about the future of the car.

Talk to EngineEricksen said: “It would be logical if we have a new generation supra. But when and how TBD is still (to be determined).” He continued by saying that there will be a break between the cars of fifth and sixth generation, but “our objective (is) to have a gap which is much less” than between the coupes of fourth and fifth generation.
Of course, it is an incredibly low bar because there was a 17 -year gap between the last two Supras. It is an eternity in the automotive world and would have been enough time for two other generations.
How long is the question to a million dollars, but Ericksen suggested that it could be far because “we have our hands full just to continue selling our main products”. This is particularly true these days, because there are several new factors at stake, including prices, politics and electrification.
Ericksen then referred to the reason for Supra The disappearance as he said: “It is simply not profitable with all the new regulations and investments that we must make.” Sales could also have played a role because the company sold only 2,615 units in the United States last year.
