Tottenham Hotspur dropped 2-1 Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Monday evening and here are our ratings of the spurs of the match.
The Spurs hoped to rely during Thursday evening’s victory in Frankfurt who put them in the semi-finals of the Europa League, where they will face the Norwegian Bodo / Glimt team on two legs in May. This game gave the Angel Postoglou a chance to climb to 13th place in the Premier League table.
The Spurs boss has brought five changes with Djed Spence, Dejan Kulusevski, Richarlison, Pape Matar Sarr and Wilson Odobert who all come for the game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
However, Forest scored five minutes in the match. Pedro Porro led a corner through the Spurs box and fell for Elliot Anderson to hit a powerful shot that deflected Rodrigo Bentancur and Guglielmo Vicario could not prevent him from crossing the line.
Chris Wood excluded an effort for the offside, but climbed the match sheet at 17 minutes when he took advantage of an nonexistent marking to go home Anthony Elaga.
The Spurs had pulled after a gunshot with Matz Salts making a series of backups and it was only in the 87th minute when Richarlison finally took one of his chances with a big head of porro’s cross. Tottenham succeeded 22 shots at the possession of four and 70% of Forest, but could not find another way.
Here are our notes of Tottenham players:
Guglielmo Vicario
Has rejected an early effort from Gibbs-White but will feel that he should have done better with Anderson’s deviation strike from the box of the box for five minutes. Then he went near the ball while Wood returned home. Had nothing to do in the second half but the damage was caused. 3
Pedro Porro
The Forest corner went through its own box leading to their first goal. However, he created chances for spurs with a corner directed with Kulusvski but he got rid of the line. Then put a beautiful cross for Richarlison to mark with normal four minutes. 7
Cristian Romero
Everywhere in the early stages and had no idea Wood had derived behind him to mark the second in Forest. Was released at halftime. One of the days when the red mist seemed to go down. 4
Micky Van de Ven
Associated with Wood before losing it for his first header and never really looked at his game either. The Dutchman also went out at the break. 5
Djed Spence
Not on the upper form but has always caused forest problems that have left the side. 6
Pope Matar Sarr
Lots of race but without much quality when he had the ball. 5
Rodrigo Bentancur
Anderson’s early shot removed a deviation to pose a problem in Vicario. The Uruguayan worked hard in the midfield and apart from the strange sloping moment was one of the best players in the Spurs. 7
Dejan Kulusvski
Looked rusty with not much to detach himself for him, including a clear header of Toffolo. 5
Wilson Odobert
His only contribution in the first half hour was a bouncing shot that Salts pushed back, but he improved after this moment and looked at a threat, with a large cross that Richarlison should have headed, only to fade again in the second half before detaching himself. 6
Ricarlison
Sent a wide head of Odobert’s cross before the break when he should have obtained it on the target, then went towards the crossing of such. Was refused by salts closely halfway through the second half and saved a head well saved by the goalkeeper. Finally, he returned to the Maison de la Croix de Porro at home. I should have scored more goals during the day, but had an impact at the end. He scored four goals in his last five appearances in the Premier League. 7
Mathys Tel
The best spurs player in the first half, creating chances for him and the others. Continued to work hard in the second half and was one of the most promising things to get out of the match because it seems to become clearer. 7
Submarines
Kevin Danso
At the break and he tried to increase the rear tempo. Sent a wide blow with his left foot halfway through the second half. 6
Ben Davies
Well treated with most of what Forest has launched him and he shot a shot on the cross -sectional bar. 6
Dominic Solanke
Came but had little impact other than to advance another presence. 5
Brennan Johnson
I did not offer a lot of the bench in the last half hour. 5
Lucas Bergvall
Came for Sarr for the last 10 minutes. N / A
