Tornado hits the US states of Mississippi and Alabama
“Many in the Mississippi Delta need your prayers and God’s protection tonight,” Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves said on Twitter on Friday as a tornado ripped through the southern states of the United States. States, Mississippi and Alabama.
At least seven people died, authorities said, and many more were injured. Some may be trapped under rubble caused by the tornado which traveled up to 70 miles per hour.
Search and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene.
