Banks dominate the top 5 best companies to work for in Singapore, according to LinkedIn’s list of the country’s best places to work in 2024.

“Commercial banking companies, from banks to insurance and digital payments, dominated the LinkedIn Top Companies 2024 in Singapore, comprising more than half of the top 15 (up from 5 in 2023),” Pooja Chhabria, LinkedIn’s Asia-Pacific editorial lead told CNBC Make It.

“This comes as no surprise as Singapore is a well-established financial hub in the region, characterized by stable regulatory frameworks and increasing adoption of digital banking services,” she said.

LinkedIn data evaluates various aspects of career progression. It classifies companies according to eight pillars: ability to progress, skills development, company stability, external opportunities, affinity with the company, gender diversity; training and presence of employees in the country.

The list, released on Wednesday, only includes companies that had at least 500 employees in Singapore at the end of 2023. Additionally, recruitment companies, educational institutions and government agencies were excluded from the list.

Here are the top five names on the LinkedIn 2024 list for Singapore:
