Tom Brady shows age means nothing with ripped physique as he trains like he’s still an NFL player

Tom Brady gets better with age.

The GOAT quarterback is officially retired, but recently left the door open for another return to the NFL by admitting there were several teams he would consider not retiring for.

Few people thought he was serious, but a recent Instagram video from the seven-time Super Bowl winner suggests he might actually be preparing for it.

The 46-year-old gave his followers a glimpse into his intense exercise regime which included sprints.

“24 years later…” Brady captioned the post, referencing the year the New England Patriots drafted him.

“@no bull. no excuses. Show up so you can be there all day!”

“Man, he looks good,” said one fan.

“You can tell he lifted weights too, in better (physical) shape than he was playing,” added another.

Brady’s chiseled physique and rock-hard abs are certainly a far cry from his infamously unflattering Combine photo taken during his toughest days.

Heck, he’s in better shape than current superstar QB and body defender Patrick Mahomes.

“He’s faster than 20 years ago!” another fan commented.

It’s no exaggeration to say that Brady is indeed faster than he was 20 years ago.

NFL fans are shocked when Tom Brady mentions that he came out of retirement and joined the New England Patriots, or joined the San Francisco 49ers or the Las Vegas Raiders.

The man himself proved it a few months ago.

Before the 2024 NFL Combine, Brady returned it to his own Combine days before being the No. 199 overall pick in the sixth round of the 2000 draft.

“Twenty-four years ago I ran a 5.28 40-yard dash,” Brady said in a viral video from February 2024.

“Maybe, just maybe, let’s give the 40 one last chance. Let’s see if we can take it to the next level.”

Brady then visibly outpaced his 22-year-old rookie, setting a new 40-yard dash time of 5:18, then 5:12.

“It was fun,” Brady said. “Next year it will go faster.”

The former Patriots and Buccaneers signal-caller announced his first retirement in February 2022 after three seasons in Tampa Bay.

Six weeks later, he reversed his decision.

He played one more season citing “unfinished business”, but it ended with an 8-9 record and a loss to the Dallas Cowboys in the playoff round.

Shortly after, he announced his retirement “for good.”

But despite the finality of that statement, he continued to flirt with a second return from retirement.

“I’m thinking of finding a training camp to report to,” a shirtless Brady posted in August.

He refused to rule it out more recently, saying: “I’m not opposed to it.

“I don’t know. … I’ll still be in shape, still be able to throw the ball. So to get in a little bit, like MJ coming back, I don’t know if they’ll let it happen, but I don’t I wouldn’t be opposed.

Brady’s impressive physique owes a lot to his holistic approach to health and wellness.

He introduced the world to the Tom Brady Diet, also known as the TB12 Method, in his 2017 book, and has been sticking to it ever since.

The method focuses on “a series of healthy daily habits across five pillars: flexibility, nutrition, hydration, movement and mental fitness, and claims to help increase energy levels, minimize inflammation and reduce risk injuries.”

He also encourages a plant-based diet, which Brady follows, as well as eating a variety of nutritious and anti-inflammatory foods.

That means no refined carbs, saturated fats or sugars.

Instead, it’s lots of greens and, occasionally, local grass-fed organic meats.

“I don’t think it’s a strict diet. I think it’s just about trying to make healthy choices that allow me to live the life I want to live,” he told People.

“I always want to maintain. I’ve developed so many healthy habits that I just want to stick with them.”

Either way, it seems to work.

He is approaching 50 and is in better shape than ever.
