Casandra Ventura, the star witness of the federal trial of sex trafficking and racketeering of the music magnate Sean Combs, shouted on her first day on the stand Tuesday while she was testifying to the sexual sessions fueled by drugs with male prostitutes who could last for several days and made her feel “disgust” and “humiliated”. Mr. Combs pleaded not guilty.
Ms. Ventura, known as Cassie, accused Mr. Combres of rape and years of physical violence in a trial in 2023 which was quickly settled. Her testimony is vital for the accusation file and she will return to the stand on Wednesday.
Here are four points to remember from his first testimony:
Drugs monsters could last days.
The sexual sessions known as monsters varied from around 36 hours to four days, testified Ms. Ventura, sometimes without sleep. She remembered drinking, taking drugs and having sex with foreigners while remaining standing for “final days”.
The drugs helped keep them awake, she said. But then she should recover from medication, dehydration and sleep deprivation.
“The monsters have become a job where there was no space to do something other than recovering and trying to feel normal again,” said Ventura.
The monsters orchestrated by Mr. Combs “took a large part of my life,” she said, saying that they were continuing for years-sometimes on a basis almost every week. At the end of the sessions, she said, sheets in the hotel room were often soiled with baby oil residues as well as body fluids, including blood and urine.
