The start of the life of Ruben Amorim was the subject of debate before the last draw of Manchester United, the Europa League, with the only hope of the Red Devils to qualify for Europe which put realistic by raising the trophy.
Amorim was brought in November to replace Erik Ten Hag at the end of his disappointing mandate at Old Trafford, and was responsible for rebuilding the club to their glory.
However, things have not exactly been to planning so far, with the 14th lead club in the Premier League and both Cups of FA and Carabao.
As such, there was even more assembly on the pressure on Amorim before Thursday’s shock with Real Sociedad in northern Spain.
Obviously, things in the field have not been perfect, although there are a number of attenuating factors out of the field that Morim will rightly indicate in the face of criticism for his few months as Red Devils boss.
However, the club icon, Paul Scholes, insisted that there was not too much pressure on Amorim for the moment, saying that the Portuguese head coach will have a lot of time for the team to sing from the same anthem.
The beginning of the life of Ruben Amorim in Manchester United has so far not exactly gone as planned
Paul Scholes told TNT Sport that he thought that Morim would need “three or four windows” to rebuild the team
The only realistic change in the European qualification of Man United is to win the Europa League
“I don’t think there is still a lot of pressure on him. I think it is on. He will have a lot of time now, he has to run this club and has not really signed the players, “he told TNT Sport.
“There are a lot of areas to improve and it needs three or four windows, it will take a long time to bring the club back where it should be.”
The Karen Carney co-dudding, however, underlined the lack of improvement under Amorim, because the season took place in its counter argument.
‘I don’t agree. I think he is under pressure with progression, maybe it’s stubbornness with the system.
“I understand why he is not, but he is under enormous pressure as a Man United Eater.
But the former midfielder of the Red Devils Scholes was categorical that the club had not only any other choice than to stick to the former boss of sports clubs, but that this was the right choice.
“I think they have to stay with him. Where can they go? He added.
“He is a brilliant young manager, speaks well and there is so much things in the background that cannot be useful. Let us give him time and support him to advance the team.
