“The Timberwolves and the Target Center are firmly determined to promote an inclusive, respectful and safe environment for everyone. Racist, hateful or threatening behavior has no place in our games or in our community and will not be tolerated under any circumstances. ”
The Timberwolves, capitalizing on the absence of the star of the Warriors, Stephen Curry, beat Golden State 117-93 to level the semi-final series of the West Conference to 1-1.
The ejection of the fans came the same evening, there was an incident on the field involving Green which led to its fifth technique in this year’s qualifying series.
After the Warriors striker was the victim of a fault by the center of Timberwolves Naz Reid during the second quarter, Green launched his arms and hit Reid on the face with a elbow. His actions resulted in a technical fault – which moves him two technical faults from a suspension.
After the match, Green said he was the victim and was tired of the agenda against him.
“He looked like the angry black man,” Green told journalists after Thursday’s match. “I am not an angry black man. I am a very successful and educated black man with a large family, and I am great in basketball. I’m great in what I do.
“The agenda to try to continue to make me look like an angry black man is crazy. I’m fed up. It’s ridiculous.”
