- Tiktok presents a feature that allows users to subscribe to products to receive repeated shipments.
- The functionality is similar to the Amazon subscription and economy tool.
- Subscription orders could also help traders better predict income and manage their inventory.
Tiktok deploys a new feature that allows users to subscribe to receive products from its electronic commercial platform store on several occasions, according to two store partners with the knowledge of the tool.
The tool, similar to Amazon’s subscription functionality, encourages users to make repeated purchases of items such as vitamins or snacks in exchange for a discount. Sellers can lock recurring income in return.
Functionality could create more foreseeable income for store sellers. Some have had trouble with stock management in the middle of sales overvoltages from viral or hollow videos after falling video views.
The shop partners have said that the functionality is not yet available for all sellers.
“Subscriptions on the Tiktok store will add convenience and savings,” said Warren Jolly, CEO of the Digital Company Adquadrant, which has access to the functionality. He said this decision could make buyers buy on Tiktok regularly rather than risking passing them to Amazon or another platform.
Subscriptions are Tiktok’s last decision to bring his store product to parity with electronic commerce competitors. He was launched in the United States in September 2023 after a year of beta tests. The company currently offers a variety of features for sellers, in particular Logistics and fulfillment services and a dedicated App Store.
As a relative newcomer, he took ground quickly. Last year, Tiktok Shop achieved $ 100 million in American sales only the Black Friday. By certain measures, as repeat purchases, He outlined the holders like Walmart.
Of course, Tiktok’s American electronic commerce activities could be suddenly cut in a few months. The company is subject to a law which obliges its parent company, Bytedance, to depart from the American application or to effectively cease to operate in the country.
A mixture of companies and rich people has announced offers for Tiktok. The company did not say if it was open to a sale. In January, Tiktok lawyer told the Supreme Court that the disaster It would be “extraordinarily difficult” on any chronology.
Tiktok did not respond to a request for comments.
