Tiger Woods announced that he should play Masters next week in an astonishing article on social networks – but fans quickly realized that everything was not as it seems.
The legend of golf, which recently underwent surgery, wrote on X: “ I cannot believe that I say this, but a few weeks after having broken my left Achille, sleep in a hyperbaric room and the explosive elevators that my doctors and coaches ready to play the masters next week! I’m eager to! See you soon on the route.
However, a certain number of users quickly pointed out that the Woods post, of course, came on the day of the April fish.
“I know the date you can’t go wrong,” replied a fan.
Another commented: “Darkened April fools here BUS. I can’t do this to our souls.
A third put: “Tiger’s Got April Fools jokes”.
Tiger Woods announced that he should play The Masters next week in a superb post
While one admitted: “I hate that I thought it for a second”.
Woods, 49, then came clean five minutes later after clarifying that he will not return to Augusta next week.
“PS April Trist My Achilles is still in disorder :)”, he published.
Woods underwent surgery last month after having broken his Achilles tendon when he was at home in Florida, which put a new doubt about his future in golf.
The major winner 15 times was preparing for his last return when he felt “acute pain” in his left heel, before passing under the knife on March 11.
