He may be past the peak of his career, but this remains a special event for Woods, and he will be determined to do well.

How many times has Woods won the Masters?

The 48-year-old has worn the green jacket five times, which is just one shy of Jack Nicklaus’ record of six times.

He won his first title in 1997, with an incredible 12 strokes victory.

He then returned there consecutively in 2001 and 2002.

He will then have to wait three years before getting his hands on the green jacket again.

However, his victory in 2019 was his greatest achievement ever for several reasons.

Sir Nick Faldo: My Masters Champions Dinner was iconic, but one golfer got it horribly wrong

Two years before, the American had been arrested for driving under the influence, and it seemed his career at the top was over.

Injuries had also started to take their toll by then, and Woods was trailing heading into the final round.

Until then, he had never won a Major with 18 holes remaining, but he overcame all obstacles to achieve a fairly resounding victory.

Considering everything he has experienced personally and professionally, this makes his 2019 victory an iconic sporting achievement.

How many times has Woods managed to qualify?

Woods has competed in 25 Masters and made the cut 24 times.

Of course, this doesn’t include the years he didn’t participate in 2014, 2016 and 2017.

Last year was the 23rd consecutive time Woods attended the weekend at Augusta.

Unfortunately, he had to withdraw in the third round due to injury.

If he were to do it this time, it would be the 24th consecutive time that the American has reached the final phase of the Masters.
