*** A total of 27 cars, divided between 11 GTP entries and 16 GTD tickets, are planned for the Acura Long Beach Grand Prix on Saturday, the first of the two street races on the ISA Weathertech sports championship of this year, for the Chevrolet Detroit entries, which is for the entries of the Chevrolet Detroit.
*** The network of this weekend does not represent a maximum capacity. While last year’s race also had 27 cars, the 2023 edition included 28 companies. Sportscar365 knows at least one GT3 team, which is not currently participating in the Weathertech championship, which has not been elected in the race due to costs linked to couple sensors mandated from the series.

*** The sporting regulations of the event remain unchanged this year, with GTP teams authorized to use a total of four sets of soft Michelin compound tires for the entire event, and up to three of them for qualifications. The GTD teams, on the other hand, are able to use four sets of the compound of the Michelin Pilot Sport Pro GT H1.
*** The minimum training time in GTP remains at 5 minutes, with GTD paid at 35 minutes and a maximum of 65 minutes. There is no maximum driving time in GTP.
*** Parker Thompson paid tribute to Shigeaki Hattori, who died last weekend in a car accident at the age of 61. Thompson was part of the first victory of Toyota Michelin Pilot Challenge for the GR Supra GT4 Evo, who came to a Hattori Motorsport entrance to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in 2023.
