After the scorching weather of recent days, it is now the storm which should strike Friday in Brittany: the three departments of the Breton point, Finistère, Morbihan and Côtes-d’Armor, have just been placed in orange storm vigilance by Météo France, this Thursday afternoon.
Tomorrow, a first stormy depression will approach Breton territory from the southern coast to the north at the start of the day. In the afternoon, a second stormy wave will affect the west of Brittany this time, until Friday evening.
Météo France specifies that this stormy depression could cause violent phenomena: “hail, gusts of wind that can reach 80 to 90 km / h and strong accumulations of precipitation”. Locally, we could reach 20 to 40 l / m2 in one hour, 50 l / m2 cumulative in total, or the equivalent of a month of precipitation.
